The Kyneton Music Festival is coming up on the 25th and 26th of October and will showcase a range of music and talent. Some of the acts include Ali Barter, Stonefield, Jade Imagine and The Putbacks. The festival kicks off on Friday night at the Bluestone Theatre and there are bands playing all day at St Paul’s Park on Saturday. There are also more intimate shows at the neighbouring Major Tom’s eatery.

For those who are interested in breaking into the music industry themselves, there is also a free music industry workshop, This Must Be The Place, on Saturday morning at the Social Foundry. Here musicians will speak about how they got their start in the industry and will be available to chat with participants and offer advice.

Why not enjoy the festival for the day with your family? Children aged 12 and under are permitted free entry into the festival when accompanied by an adult ticket holder and those under 18 can purchase a children’s ticket. The festival is licensed and will be selling drinks. There are also food trucks on-site and various cafes, restaurants and pubs along Piper Street that you can choose from for lunch.

If you are driving to the festival, there is parking available in the neighbouring streets and at Organ’s Coaches on Powlett Street. People coming from out of town can catch the VLine train from Bendigo or Melbourne to Kyneton. From there, shuttle buses will deliver people to the festival between 11 am and 3 pm. There is also a special bus returning to Melbourne on Saturday night at 11.15 pm from Kyneton station.
