There is nothing like a crisis to make a community band together and Kyneton has kindness in spades. We are all aware that the current climate has put enormous pressure on people emotionally, mentally and financially. Many people have lost their jobs, taken pay cuts and are understandably concerned about the future for themselves and their families. The vulnerable in our community are particularly susceptible to becoming physically and mentally ill or experiencing financial hardship.

Three local businesses, a butcher, fresh produce store and pizzeria have anticipated the need for healthy meals for those doing it tough. Sizzlin Sensations, Watts Fresh and The Pizza and the Wine Club have teamed together with Cobaw Health and Kyneton Food Bank for a generous initiative. They will provide free hot meals every day for those who are in need. They are committed to providing this service for as long as they are able. Head down to 46 High Street between 3.30 pm and 4 pm any day of the week to collect a delicious, nutritious hot meal. There is a limit of one free meal per person per day but additional meals can be purchased for $5 and the proceeds go to the Food Bank.
