Animus Distillery in Kyneton will now not only be popular for its 100% Australian grain spirits but also for making hand sanitiser when the community was in great need. A number of distilleries in the industry are following suit. Animus’ online sales began on 1 April and more batches are in production to ensure that they will meet demand. (The hand sanitiser bottles require resting for 72 hours before being labelled and sold in order for them to be most effective).

Animus Distillery is selling 100 ml bottles of sanitiser for $10 online and at their store on Piper Street in Kyneton. Customers are asked to follow physical distancing rules when picking up their products to protect themselves and the distillery staff. There is a limit of six bottles per person to ensure as many people as possible can be helped. Fifty percent of all profits will also be used to subsidise hand sanitiser access for those in need.
