The wonderful township of Kyneton is experiencing a market boom. Jason York, Operations Manager from RT Edgar Kyneton, says that according to realestate.com.au there has been a steady 11% price increase each year but around 20% in the last year. He says, “It’s pretty impressive and the strong demand should see this continue.”

The last two years with Covid-19 has only increased the desire for people to make the move to regional areas. Young families or couples who are looking to start a family are moving out of Melbourne and to places like Kyneton. Jason explains, “Kyneton offers great quality schooling, world-class hospital and medical facilities, public transport, relaxed country lifestyle with a vibrant arts community and great food options.”

Although Kyneton is growing, it still retains its wonderful community feel. The people are polite and friendly and as Jason points out, ‘the crime rate is very low which makes people feel safe in bringing up their family here.

Another bonus to Kyneton and the Macedon Ranges is the natural beauty of the area such as Hanging Rock, Kyneton Botanical Gardens and the Campaspe River. “The walk along the river is very popular with families and their dogs on the weekend,” Jason said. With the list of positives only growing, you can see why Kyneton is becoming so popular. It certainly seems it’s the place to be.
